The Condition was a time-based experiment that ran from 1 November 2025 to 16 September 2026. At irregular intervals, an authored system gathered live environmental and informational signals—weather, temperature, air quality, place, and headlines—and passed them through Penalty’s generative grammar to produce surfaces of image and language. The aim was not to illustrate the data, but to translate the pressures of a particular time and place into Penalty’s internal weather. The resulting surfaces form an irregular log.
